Jon S. ("Willy-22") Wilkins

WILKINS, Jon S. "Willy-22”, of Methuen, formerly of North Andover and Malden, unexpectedly passed away on October 10th at the age of 55. He is survived by Deb Wilkins, who he had been with for over 35 years and their two children, Colin Wilkins and Shannon Wilkins. Son of John F. Wilkins of Lakeland, Florida and the late Claire A. (Stegelmann) Wilkins. Brother of Jeff Wilkins of Saugus and the late Karen Wilkins. Uncle to Matthew, Molly and Abigail. In the heavens above, he joins his canine partner, "Brady".

Born and raised in Malden, he attended Maplewood, Browne and graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1985.  He worked for over 11 years for US Foods, where he was a member of the Teamsters, Local 25 and for the last five years for Hanlon Sheet Metal.

Jon had a passion for coaching and was heavily involved in his children’s extracurricular activities. He coached his son, Colin’s Flag Football, Baseball and Basketball Teams and his daughter, Shannon’s Softball Teams. Most recently was the Coach for the New England Lady Rebelz.

Jon was an avid Boston Sports Fan and never missed watching a game. He had many friends and was known for his sense of humor and being the life of the party. His other passions include golf, fishing and cooking.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Saturday, October 16th from 1-4 PM. The family kindly requests that guests wear a mask during visiting hours. Committal Services will be private.
