Beginning Monday, March 1, Phase IV, Step 1 will begin. Funeral establishments will be able to host more than one service at a time within the same facility, and capacity for the funeral home will increase to 50 percent.
People with fever, flu, cough, sore throat or other flu like symptoms are not permitted to visit. All visitors will be required to wear face coverings at all times, practice social distancing (six-feet or more, persons of the same household are not required to distance), practice social distancing when greeting the family, pay their respects and exit the funeral home to allow other guests to enter.
Based on the recommendations and guidelines provided by Governor Baker, the Center of Disease Control, The Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association, we are implementing this reopening action plan that may still impose limits on certain requests as they relate to funeral and memorial services.
