Bill was a very considerate and comforting person, someone I could talk to about many issues; including my medical condition. He always expressed passion in whatever endeavors he was involved in. You will be missed, but remembered.

I met Bill working on the railroad ten plus years ago. He was a small man with a giant heart! He was on the front lines in the struggle for equal rights for women and minorities in the work place! He was truly a great person and I will never forget him! My sincere condolences to his family.

To Bill's family, I am very sorry for your loss. I met bill at the gym he always had a smile and offered encouragement. Bill would come to Burger King once in a while to join us for coffee where I got to know him better, he is missed and will always be remembered.

I met Bill when he offered me a ride home from a gathering of the People's Music Network and a friend said "Get him to tell you his story." It didn't take much prodding...I was so impressed by his work as a white man to challenge Amtrak's racist employment practices. We kept in touch and encountered one another periodically over the years in activist settings. He was a warm and caring man who walked his talk. My condolences to his wife and family. Rest in power, Bill.
