Frank James Knox (Frankie) passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at age 70, of Malden. He was born on February 23,1951 in Everett, Massachusetts to the late George Frances and Dorothy Lillian (Klaus) Knox. Husband to the late Kathleen Dascher Knox and former wife Diane Dowling. Loving father to Carrie Knox, Frank Knox, Reggie and wife Brandie Knox, Anthony Knox, Katharine Ann Dascher Walker (Kathy) and her husband Stephen Walker, Kenneth and wife Jamie Dascher, and his daughter-in-law Caroline Dascher. Also forever remembered by his grandchildren, Stephen Walker, Kevin and Stephanie Walker, Patrick and Brehana Walker, Andrew and Debbie Walker, Kristina and John Del Ponte, Nathan, Megan, Emily and Benjamin and his great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Zachary, Dillon, Haliyah and Keilan. Brother to the late George “Buddy” Knox, the late Edward Knox, the late Arlene Fisichella, and Gail Crosscup. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Frank was a fanatical Boston sports fan that never missed a game on TV. He was a proud lifelong Maldonian. He worked for over 40 years as a school bus driver for the Boston Public School district achieving number 1 seniority status of over 700 drivers. Frank was known as the “Mayor” of the bus yard and made it a point to socialize with everyone. He thoroughly enjoyed his work until his reluctant retirement but maintained a strong connection with his colleagues and fellow drivers. Frankie loved all of his family and friends. Whether it was watching one of his children’s or grandchildren’s sports activities, celebrating holidays and special events, shopping, or going for a ride. He also enjoyed getting together with his many friends. These times were when he was the happiest.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 8:30am at Carroll Funeral Home 721 Salem St. (Maplewood Square) Malden, MA 02148 followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 315 Main St. (Malden Square) Malden MA. 02148. Services will conclude with interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park 175 Lake St. Peabody, MA 01960.
