FIELDING, Mary M. (Smith)- Of Wakefield, formerly a lifelong resident of Malden, April 7th. Devoted wife for 71 years of Stanley E. Fielding. Beloved mother of Mary D'Angelo and her husband John of Stoneham, Yvonne Lozzi and her husband Daniel of Wakefield and Stanley Fielding and his husband Dale Jakubowski of Shasta Lake, CA. Daughter of the late Hugh A. and Cecelia (Paquette) Smith. Sister of the late Rita March, Cecelia Webb, Antoinette Small, Gilbert, Robert, Albert, Reginald and John "Jackie" Smith. Cherished grandmother of Laurie Wilczek, John D'Angelo and his wife Karin, Doreen Carangelo and her husband David, Danny Lozzi, Jr., Kenny Lozzi and his wife Jessica, Jerry Lozzi and Craig Fielding and his wife Erica. Also lovingly survived by her great grandchildren, Janelle Mercer and her wife Kathleen, Rachel, Aidan, Zachary, Marisa, Tori, Leah, Darren, Tyler, Aryanna, Jocelyn, Kenneth, Jr. and Mary, her great great grandchildren Jason and Cameron as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday, April 12th at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Monday from 4-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Souri, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Mary grew up in East Boston and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School. Though she did not have a full time job outside of her home, her life was her family, being involved and around them. A member of the Lieutenant Norman Prince Post 1506 in Melrose where she served as Vice President for 2 years and President for 2 years. During her time there, she also served as chaperone of the Lt. Norman Prince Drum and Bugle Corp. She also enjoyed skating, knitting, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, playing cards and watching her beloved Boston Bruins.
