Robert John Shepard

Robert John Shepard of Malden, a lifelong resident of Malden who was born in Boston on May 13, 1937, son of Margaret Shepard, passed away at the age of 84 on November 6th, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Grace Shepard, and his son, Darryl. Cousin to Jeffrey and Norma Blake, Scott Blake and his wife Margaret and their son Owen, Laurie Blake Pariseau and her husband Luc and their children Robbie and Nicole. 

Robert was a competitive roller skater in the Northeast as a young man. He served in the United States Army during peacetime between 1961-1963. He was employed for many years at Mass General Hospital and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, and also worked for the Malden Police Department as a crossing guard and in the parking ticket department. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame football games, doing puzzles and listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. Robert had a great sense of humor, was quick to crack a joke and often made people smile. He also loved the family pets Oscar, Chrissy, Winston and Kira.
