Manning, William Lloyd- A lifelong resident of Malden. Devoted husband of Diane (Hudson) Manning and beloved dad of Susan (Manning) Filosi of Sarasota FL, John Manning of Groveland and the late Kimberly Manning. Lovingly survived by his granddaughters, Michelle, Victoria, Rachel, Allie and Tina.
Bill was a butcher and owner of the Pioneer Market in Malden Square for 25 years. After that he worked at Lamson & Davis Hardware Store, also in Malden, where he was always available to share his knowledge and experience on home repair, paints, electrical, plumbing, etc to the many customers that wanted his advice on a project they were working on. He loved woodworking, making toys, book cases, flower boxes, Xmas decorations, etc. for family, friends and neighbors and spent months making a rocking horse that has been passed from grandchild to grandchild and will be passed to future great grandchildren. His hobbies (he had many) included stock car and go cart racing, mini bikes and motorcycles, flying model airplanes, golfing, fishing, playing pool and more recently, googling on his computer.
Bill will be sorely missed and will always be remembered for his kindness, patience and generosity.
At his request. funeral services will be private.
